This year’s line-up is almost complete. As one of the last confirmed bands has been confirmed Canadian death metal killing machine Cryptopsy headed again by Jon Levasseur, former lead guitarist and major creative contributing force behind None So Vile, Whisper Supremacy, And Then You’ll Beg…, who has returned to the band.

Next confirmed are United Arab Emirates-based death/thrash metallers Nervecell with new album Psychogenocide.

Due to Jeff Loomis and Van Williams leaving the band, Nevermore announced that they would be cancelling all their planned shows, including Brutal Assault 2011. Another cancelled band is Finnish Norther, in this case for non-professional work of their agent.

Adequate compensation will be announced soon.

The 16th edition of Czech festival  Brutal Assault will take place between 11th and 13th of August 2011, in Josefov Fortress. Tickets are available as follows:

- 1st of May - 31st of July 2011: 1357,-CZK (approx. 56,60 EUR)

- at the entrance, during the festival: 1600 CZK (approx. 66,60 EUR)
