The third edition of Darkwave.ro Festival took place on January 29th, in Bucharest, and it brought Project Pitchfork, Rabia Sorda and Tenek for the first time in Romania. The photos I took there of can be viewed in my gallery, at the following locations:

After six bands having been announced in just two weeks, DonisArt is now revealing the name of two additional groups that will take part in Dark Bombastic Evening 3, held in Alba Iulia (Romania).

Considered to be a reference band for the Doom Gothic Metal scene, Draconian is not showing off with the number of releases, despite their 17 years of existence. We are talking about only four studio CDs and, after more than three years, their new and much awaited work will soon be released at the Austrian label Napalm Records.

DonisArt reveals two more bands that will take part in Dark Bombastic Evening 3, held at Alba Iulia Citadel, in Romania: Les Discrets and Hexvessel.

In October 2010, a band that was almost unknown to Metal fans managed to outshine the recitals of other spectacular bands, at Labyrinthic Metal Evening. Vulture Industries is a Norwegian quintet that has released only two albums so far, the latest one being officially released in Bucharest through an unforgettable concert.

Viva Music is the first promoter to offer a complex and large scale alternative festival in Romania: four bands, DJ sets, cool atmosphere, art exhibitions, contests, all in one flawlessly designed venue: Kulturhaus! After live concerts from Melotron, Das Ich, In Strict Confidence, Diary of Dreams and Covenant, Viva Music is here to promote an original and unique festival!

Darkwave.ro Festival will take place on November 12, 2010, at Kulturhaus, in Bucharest (Str. Sfanta Vineri, no. 4), and it hails from the tradition Viva Music set off in February 2009 with First Romanian Darkfest. Viva Music solely promotes quality electro.dark.industrial.goth.synth music in Romania.

On 16th and 17th of July 2011, 34 bands will play on 2 stages at the 7th edition of Amphi Festival. Outstanding performances, as well as a supporting programme in the seated Theatre, are awaiting you at the Tanzbrunnen in Cologne (Germany). Starting into the new season the organisers are happy to present a rich selection of fabulous artists. Among others, still to be announced, the following acts are entering the Amphi stages for you in summer 2011:

AMPHI FESTIVAL took place at Tanzbrunnen in Cologne (Germany) on July 24th and 25th and presented an equisite line-up, which brought in front of 16 000 gothic/electro/industrial music fans some amazing performances by VNV Nation, Combichrist, Skinny Puppy, Diary of Dreams and more. I enjoyed the whole festival from start to finish (as a guest), but I also took some photos of a handful of bands which can be viewed at the following links:

This year’s edition of TUBORG GREEN FEST, one of the most powerful international music festivals, was presented by SONISPHERE FESTIVAL between 25th - 27th of June, at Romexpo (Bucharest / Romania). The line-up was VERY impressive, including some of the biggest names in rock and metal music today. I was one of the few people who were granted the chance to photograph the whole event professionally and you can see my photos EXCLUSIVELY at metalfan.ro, the webzine I collaborate with. There are also reviews of each day of the event, but only in Romanian.

          On April 8th, Covenant played for the first time in Romania and gave a highly energetic 2 hours show at Club Control, in Bucharest. The pictures I took at the gig of both the headliner and the Romanian opening act Brazda lui Novac are now online. Check them out at the following links!
