Three bands that could not make it to Inferno Festival (Oslo, Norway) in 2011 are ready for next year's black easter celebration.

 

Get ready for black folk metal with a progressive twist when Borknagar returns to the Inferno stage 2012! The band formed in Bergen in 1995 and is known worldwide for its melodic black metal. Borknagar released their eight full length album Universal last year and joining the line-up is original vocalist I.C.S. Vortex!

Amphi Festival 2011 is sold out!

Due to a sensational demand, Amphi Festival is sold out weeks in advance, for the third time since 2008. All submitted orders will be shipped after payment. Also, there are no more tickets for the Amphi Festival 2011 available in advance booking. A small contingent of tickets will be available at the box office, to make sure nobody has to take the trip to Cologne in vain.

3-day-passes for Metalcamp 2011 are completely sold-out in pre-sale and will only be available at the festival´s box office.

Last year´s Metalcamp already showed in which direction it might develop and 2011 only proves it... Metalcamp is evolving into THE go-to-festival in Europe with doubtlessly the most beautiful festival area there is.

The tickets for Summer Breeze 2011 at the Silverdust Shop are sold out. There are no more tickets available on www.silverdust-shop.de. However, there can be small numbers of tickets that become available time and again due to cancellations of unpaid orders. The ones interested should keep an eye on the posts on the official  Summer Breeze Facebook page, as that is the only place to find out when a few leftover tickets become available.

Castle Party is the biggest gothic festival in Eastern Europe and has hosted many major bands of the subculture since its beginnings in 1994, at the Grodziec Castle in Poland. Since 1997, the festival has been held in the courtyard of the Bolkow Castle and has established itself as one of the most popular festivals of its kind with thousands of attendees from around the world. This year's edition gathers 34 acts, among them some of the biggest names of the gothic scene.

Kataklysm and Týr confirmed for Brutal Assault

The organisers of the Czech metal festival Brutal Assault have confirmed two more bands for this year's edition. Canada based death metallers Kataklysm are coming back to the Old Army Fortress after three years! This time with their last album Heaven’s Venom.

Another confirmed act is the Faroese viking metallers Týr, who will present tracks from their new album The Lay of Thrym.

The advance booking contingents for Amphi Festival are almost exhausted. The organisers state that, according to experiences of the previous years, there is only little time left until the remaining advance booking tickets are ultimately sold out. While stock lasts original Amphi tickets are still available in the official online festival shop, at amphi-festival.de/tickets.

Brutal Assault confirms Cryptopsy and Nervecell. Nevermore and Norther cancelled

This year’s line-up is almost complete. As one of the last confirmed bands has been confirmed Canadian death metal killing machine Cryptopsy headed again by Jon Levasseur, former lead guitarist and major creative contributing force behind None So Vile, Whisper Supremacy, And Then You’ll Beg…, who has returned to the band.

 

Next confirmed are United Arab Emirates-based death/thrash metallers Nervecell with new album Psychogenocide.
