Ella G. (Mihaela M. Ghenescu) is a photographer based in Sibiu, Romania. She started to take interest in photography in the summer of 2007 when, following a series of fortunate events, she found herself in the position of taking photos at several concerts and festivals around Romania, but also abroad, at Hellfest Open Air (metal music festival in Clisson, France) and Brutal Assault (metal music festival in Josefov, Czech Republic). These brought about the opportunity to collaborate with metalfan.ro webzine, one of the oldest and highest quality online metal music publications in Romania. As a collaborator of metalfan.ro, she has had the chance to photograph some of the greatest artists in the rock and metal music world, occasionally write reviews and also promote bands dear to her to the Romanian audiences.

          Her primary job as media relations coordinator of "Radu Stanca" National Theatre of Sibiu has given her the opportunity to diversify her subject matter and, soon enough, she started to take photos at theatre performances and, occasionally, at the events organised by the Theatre, including the prominent Sibiu International Theatre Festival. Her photos can be found both on the pages of online publications, as well as in print newspapers and magazines around Romania.

          Currently, she is looking to further expand her horizons to photosessions, improve her technique and truly capture the essence of performing arts into her photography.
